Our mission statement is “to create a peak experience wherever you go” and with this in mind, we have implemented a 3D Augmented Reality Viewer into the Hexology app which enables you to blend 3D computer generated content into the world around you.

Augmented Reality (AR) is a broad category, and at Hexology we empower you to post and discover digital content into the world around you. Our free app gives an ability to compose a message and post it into the world around you for people to discover.

Now, imagine a world with a 3D computer generated character or object in it, which might in context belong to a historic site, a sporting event or even a fiction.

Hexology is 3D AR-Ready

At Hexology, we have successfully implemented a lightweight 3D AR Viewer into our free app, giving content creators a 3D AR-Ready environment, to publish their 3D AR content into a location, and consumers a mechanism to view and share the 3D AR content they find.

We do not anticipate that the average person / consumer who is using Hexology to enrich their experience of the world as they roam about, will create 3D AR content. This functionality has instead been built to enable Studios, Agencies, Brands and Independent XR Producers to place high-quality premium content into a venue for people to discover.

This premium content is both an incentive and the reward to install and participate in the Hexology experience. We expect Brand sponsors of events will want to create spectacle, attract attention and engage audiences, and in this respect Hexology is aligned to provide a 3D AR content creation service.

For Independent XR Producers Everywhere

For independent producers & developers of location-based 3D AR content, Hexology is an environment that specifically allows them to publish the content they create into a location. Creators of location-based 3D AR content struggle to engage audiences in the apps they publish because nobody knows they are there. Hexology brings this type of content to the surface via a network of place-based posts that draw audiences in. Hexology will in the long-term share a model of how to do this so that independent producer / developers and event organisers can create their own content installations.

As the emerging range of AR glasses from companies like Apple, Niantic, Rokid & Nreal enter the market, Hexology plays a key role in the fulfilment of a collective vision that many of us will soon mediate the world around us in a partially-digitised way; accessing information, adventure and (for the business models) advertising too.

This technology will transform our experience of walking down the street, and as Hexology already allows people to create, discover and access place-based digital content, the AR layer Hexology provides is a key piece of the puzzle.
